O, How Great You are!

How great you are....
Oh how great your love.
Is this how you deal with a man you love?
I am humbled by the things you do to shift our focus straight.
Great and mighty things but terrible
You break us because you only desire a humble spirit
You prune us because you desire us to be much more fruitful.
You take what we love the most
Just to make you God over our lives.
You scatter us that you may gather us as one.
Lord, is this how you deal with man?
That you will do all just to make him bow to you alone?
How you flog and chastise us so that we may become that sweet smelling aroma that you so desire.
Because you love us so.
So we lift our hands and sing to you
That our lives may ever please you.
That you may ever humble our hearts and keep us in a state that will be your utmost pleasure.
That we will be fully worked on
And become the image of the son.
Lord, we love you.
And we acknowledge you for who you are in our lives.
We acknowledge all that you have done for us.
Do not still your hand until you have finished the thorough work you have started in us.
We are on our way to you.
And even though you will test us on these words we utter,
Lord, You are our inheritance and our all.

The longest 2 weeks

20/10/2020 The date many will not forget in a while. A very significant date to many youths in Nigeria.  That was the day I put to bed. In the midst of that chaos, I had my own personal crisis. I had a c-section. And it was successful. I had my husband with me through the surgery.... I heard your voice telling me to stay awake. You said it repeatedly, "Babe. Please stay awake for me. I beg you. Please don't go to sleep". And you held my hand and soothed my forehead just to keep me calm. And it was all I needed at that time....or so I thought until I saw the tiny being that was just extracted from my belly, wrapped up in a green cloth and screaming at the top of his lungs. Then, I knew there was always room for more.
